This site is a tribute to Jan, who was born in Birkenhead in 1953 and spent her life on and around the Wirral. 

She was a doting daughter to her mum Jean, dad Bill who is no longer with us but not forgotten - and her step dad Ray.  She was very close to her sister and best friend Shirley. 

She relished her role as Aunty Jan to all her nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and more recently even great great nieces and nephews!

Jan was also a caring niece herself and cherished all her aunties and uncles.  

She was kind and caring, adored her whole family and was very proud of her two children Carl and Jules - and two grandchildren, Emily and Olivia.

Jan cherished her friendships and special relationships - and was with her partner Les for nearly 30 years.  They shared a mutual love of music and movies. 

Jan very much enjoyed her cottage holidays in North Wales with her loved ones. 

Jan loved animals - especially cats and dogs - especially her fur grand children Echo, Memphis and Biscuit.  She was fascinated by nature and very knowledgeable about birds and trees.

Jan is much loved, much missed - and will always be remembered.

Having been diagnosed with cancer, Maggies was a great cause close to Jan’s heart - having visited her friend Jane there last year and then benefitting from the support Maggies offers herself in recent months.
